The Henry’s Fork drops in elevation from 6070’ to exactly 1 mile (5280’) from Riverside Campground to the Highway 20 Bridge above Ashton, a distance of 23 miles, a drop of almost 800’. There are two major water falls. 8 miles of this water is unnavigable. One float requires sliding a raft down the side of the canyon over a thousand feet. Some of this water is not for the faint of heart. The bottom 8 mile stretch from Warm River to Highway 20 has great access and is one of the most popular sections to float.
