The Fly of the Month will be the beetle. This is a must have pattern for anyone pursuing trout.
Before I started this, I decided to look at the last blog I wrote. I’m terribly embarrassed to say that it was published on June 17th.
In fly fishing, a “drake” is a large mayfly, usually size 12 or larger. The Henry’s Fork is known for its many small mayflies but there are three, or maybe four that qualify as drakes.
